It's Joss and it's comic books. Two things that I definitely love. But Shield is too slick and too shiny. It lacks any of the emotional resonance of Buffy or Firefly. Hell! Even Dollhouse had me pretty close to hello, despite all my issues with the premise. I think it's aiming for too broad of an audience and that is leading to uber fail. At least for me.

Honestly, the problem with this show can be summed up quite succinctly. It's boring. And that's pretty much unforgivable.
