Yeah, there were a lot of moments where I covered my eyes. Slave scenes are always a no-go for me. That entire attic of horror was a big fat vat of "you have got to be shitting me." I kind of get where they were going: these women, in all generations, are victimized. The opposing schools of thought, represented by Paulson and Lange are: "blend in" and "rule the world." Roberts was definitely in Lange's camp, and although her revenge was very brief and very abrupt, it was satisfying.
I like the series. In the end, I like where they went with things. I have a feeling that it might devolve into women against women and I have a problem with that, but I hope it's more complex than those trailers imply. We'll see.
