Drabble: For darlas_mom (Roswell)

I'm trying to make that request work, but I may have played myself by adding Roswell to that list of can-do's. I'm still working, but here's a something to, maybe, hold you in the meantime ...

A/N: Vilandra/Kivar for darlas_mom. Just for now.


the point at which something begins


"Come back to bed."

"I can't sleep."

The darkened sky is tinged pink and pale with breaking dawn. At the window, Vilandra waits for the wounded red of true sunrise. Glancing back over her shoulder she says, "Shouldn't you be up anyway? Plans to make." Her restless gaze returns to the sky, "Governments to over throw?"

She hears the whisper of the sheets as he rises. Vilandra closes her eyes as warm hands sweep the length of her arms.

"Everything will be fine." Kissing her neck, hands sliding forward to cup her breasts, Kivar whispers, "It's for the best."

OH! I'm so sorry! I never saw this before until you posted your yearly round-up and I caught it today!

This is really awesome. I like the tense, yet casual thing you've got going here, and the tenderness between the two of them. It's really neat. :-)

LOL! You are awesome. No worries. I am really, really glad that you liked it. I really want to do another one, closer to the request, but at the time this was my best effort. I liked the idea of a reluctant but determined Vilandra, and a deceptively charming Kivar leading her astray.
