To end the week, my office is closed tomorrow for Good Friday, I thought I'd go out in style. Some of the poem's I want to include this year are not all poems in the most conventional sense. Convention, however, is sometimes just another word for format. The following is laid out like fic, but it isn't. Trust me, this is a poem from tip to toe and from the bottom of its elegant little heart.

Another piece from one of our own. [livejournal.com profile] tkp writes a surreal, jazzy, musical Spike/Dru love song. I really, really, really hope that you enjoy it as much as I did.

No Need for Cake or Flowers by [livejournal.com profile] tkp
Rating: violent.
Length: short. 350 words.
Disclaimer: Title is Jill Tracy, Diabolical Streak, "Let's Spend an Evil Night Together". Nothing gets more Spike/Dru than that song.
A/N: This isn't really a fic. It's more like stream of consciousness. You might find it fun, so I share...but it's not a fic fic.

Aww, thanks so much! It is more poetry, isn't it. I'm very flattered.

BTW, *this* is the cd I'm sending you. Diabolical Streak, I mean. It's *awesome*. There needs to be vids.

aww. *squishes* I burned it for you, I just need to get off my ass and send it.

I wish I could make vids too! I have so many in my head! And there are some I have planned, planned down to each cut, which is just plain weird, seeing as how I'll never be technically competent enough to actually make a vid. I can barely figure out how to *play* most vids.

Oh, but I want to see-eeeeee! What songs were they? I think finding the episodes would be hardest. I mean, I have very exact clips to use in my head for some things, but finding which ep they're from, where that bit is in that ep--that would be hard. And I tend to visualize things slightly off from what they really are; like, I'll look through a photo album, very distinctly remember a head-on shot, and go back and look for it and it won't be there, just like a slight profile view, or something. V. disconcerting. So I just know I would dream up clips of things that don't actually exist, and slit my wrists looking for them, and find things *like* them but not quite, until I go crazy.
