So here it is. My annual, at least for the last three years, short list of the best fic I've read in 2005. This year hasn't actually been the best in terms of reading fic. Meaning, I've read little, but the following gems are the ones that really stayed with me. I thank the authors for writing and sharing and I hope that you all enjoy the things you haven't read and find the joy again in the things you have.
The Best of 2005 (in no particular order)
Blood Types by
tkp Angel
Lullaby by
blue_moony Harry Potter, pre-series
Sixteen in Bulgaria by
silviakundera Harry Potter
But None I Think Do There Embrace by
yhlee Buffy
About A Girl by molly (
mollita on lj) Firefly
There's no
glossing fic which is a surprise and a tragedy, but unfortunately my
glossing fic weekened had to be cancelled twice and I've read only one of her fics this entire year. Can you believe it? I know, me either. So, maybe as I languish in bed this New Year's, further recuperating from a rather nasty round of the flu, I shall dive into all of those wonderful
glossing recs left for me. There's a little bit of eggnog still left and lots of hot cocoa. I think that sound like a plan.
Happy New Year's, kids. Let's get this show on the road.
