oyceter on compliments.Personally, I always feel the need to explain. Explain what? I hardly know. But, there it is, this driving need to say: oh, thank you. my eyes are not this color, they're contacts. or glad you like the story, i was really hoping to convey buffy's deep and abiding hatred of pound puppies.
What is that all about?

Me: I know! It's damn hard to be this cute all the time, but someone has to.
2) blushing - compliments are the only thing that can make me blush

Me: Blushes and stutters until I can think of a nice way to say thank you without coming off like a complete dork.
It's so strange, because I know very few women who take compliments simply, and I don't know many men who think a compliment is a big deal.

If you can respond to praise without reverting to dorkdom, I am in awe!!!! I always squirm and beam at the world and then fall into complete psuedo-academic nerd mode. Argh!
