Things I've Learned Today or Further Adventures With Quicktime
Enjoying my last few days before work re-starts and I decided to spend some quality time with Apple Quicktime
I have since discovered that:
I cannot WAIT for Sin City. Beautiful girls and Clive fucking Owens. Comic Book Noir and Alexis Bliedel tarted up.
As great as Sin City going to be I'm very sure it won't make up for what is guaranteed to be a torturous ride in Constatine. Despite Keanu Reeves I'll have to go see it because, well, we're talking epic battles between Heaven and Hell and Rachel Weisz.
Then there's the painful badness of Miss Congeniality 2. But on the upside, Regina King and Sandra Bullock. I have a feeling that it's gonna be a renter.
And why, may I ask why, am I strangely excited to see
Be Cool? I do *not* like John Travolta and singers-turned-actresses seldom fair well, but there is the very yummy Dwayne Johnson in an afro and tight powder blue slacks. I am all squealing with the joy.
Then, when I least expected it, we hit the wave of re-makes and I ask WHY, God? Why?!?!?
Bewitched
The Amityville Horror
Guess Who -- Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn are turning in their graves as we speak. But, it's the Mac and I *might* have to see it.
War of the Worlds -- Why Tom Cruise? Just, why?
If the horror of the re-make doesn't get you, Dakota Fanning is trying out for the Wednesday Adams young and creepy award.
And if the horror of Dakota Fanning doesn't quite do it for you, there's nothing like children's nursery songs combined with Dark Water to leave you with thatwarm, fuzzy creepy, tingly feeling. On a side note, can we *please* get past The Ring/Grudge trip.
Now, if you *reallY* just can't help it, there's always Sam Raimi's seeming rip-off of Darkness Falls. But it *is* Sam Raimi and he's always guaranteed for a good time.
Then there's the things that terrify me and yet, and yet! I squirm with utter fangirl joy, horrified mind you, but tickled:
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Batman Begins --
I thought Liam Neeson had learned his lesson about being all Zen Master but here he goes again. However, there is Christian Bale and it IS Batman. So, I guess it must be done.
And Finally!
If you haven't got any plans for Feb. 14th Happy Valentine's Day
