Kerfuffles over at BBF, again. Same game. Feedback. I don't know why I bother. It's never going to be resolved.



So, as general FYI - I love feedback (as in praise) and I love feedback (as in constructive criticism). I can't get better if you don't tell me what's wrong and that includes the punctuation errors. Yes, I have a beta, but things slip through the cracks (thankyoudiachronyforthesave). I won't be angry about any catches or observations made unless they are rude and poorly introduced. That said, I reserve the right to take your suggestions under consideration and ignore them.

Now, anyone know of a really great feedback note that covers all of that. And I'd also like to note that the reason I'm so rabid about feedback that includes constructive criticism and not just happy happy joy joy is that it feels more genuine that way, unless specific instances of the happy are included.

I don't know if I stay on the list for the recs or for the kerfuffles. *G* I try to keep an open and entirely amused mind about things when people get all huffy and bent out of shape. It makes things easier, then I get bored and I start deleting all the posts that start with "Re:"

This too shall pass. Hey I could post something to start a new kerfuffle, if you like. Something along the lines of, ummm...

Hi, I was hoping someone here could recommend me good Dawnfic, but only Dawnfic where she is romantically involved with one of the Scoobies. Or Giles. Because I really like fic where there's a taboo relationship. Normal relationships, like canon, are boring and dull.

That might turn the kerfuffle topic round, huh? ;)

OH, joy and squeeling evil! Dawn debate. Canon debate over Dawn. Now that might really be fun.

And taking a page from your book, I will be relaxed and unconcerned from now on. At least about this particular kerfuffle. :)

So first I was gonna ask: "what's BBF?" then I realized, oh yeah, it's the Better Buffy Fic forum, right? I have never been to the forum, only read a few stories there way back when I first discovered BtVS fanfic.

I'm glad I was of some use when reviewing, especially since I think I miss stuff too often because I'm basking in the beautiful writing style (or sometimes just enjoying the sex) and my critical faculties shut off so I can revel hedonistically in reading pleasure.

(You'll recall it took me a couple readings -- and some time to recover after the first go-round -- before I noticed anything to "save" ...)

Now, hopefully my mom will have fixed the notebook puter and when I get home I can start printing stuff out. I really want to read your Willow stories, and Diva tossed out so many recs I'm drowning in them ... ! :)
