seraphcelene: (it mocks me)
Wow! A whole year later and this book is still not done. Granted, 2020 took everything I had just to get through, My anxiety was at an all time high and it's only moderately better managed now. I'm holding on. I hope you are to.

Of the very good, edits are not bad. We're at 85K words now. Things are coming together. I sent the MS out for beta reads late in 2019 and all of the notes that came back were terrific. Daunting to work through, but terrific. I even started a new MS. Fingers crossed I get this one ready for submissions in July. I think I can. I think I can. I think I can.

Tell me your good news and all your thoughts of god ... I'd really like to meet him. ;)

It's a bookkeeping qualification for work (I'm still doing office admin, but now in accounts). It's very dull, and I can't say this is particularly the direction I wanted my career to go, but such is life.

I do not have a finished draft, alas. Between starting a new job with a big learning curve in late 2020 and early this year I wrote very little because I didn't have the energy, so I'm still trying to get back in the habit of writing regularly. I've written 20k of what I originally thought would be the bulk of the story and have now realised needs to be the last arc in an epic fantasy, and I'm taking a break to brainstorm more deeply and re-outline, while writing small things. I don't know if I'll finish the manuscript but at least it gets me back in the habit.
