Fear, sometimes it gets the better of us

Hi, kids.

I miss you.

I miss fandom.

Any fandom.

Work is long and I am exhausted.

I want to write, but it's been so long that I'm scared.

That's sad. Cause I miss writing.

I miss it a lot.

What if I'm bad at it. I mean, I was never great, but what if I'm really bad at it, now.

What if it is a thing that I can no longer do?

That's sad.

Perhaps discard the sense that there is some standard you have to attain. If you're "bad" so what. The point of writing is to write.

I mean, there are standards for "good writing" but you should probably not be thinking about them while you are in the process of writing. Maybe just go *feel your words at the page* first and then worry about what you should do to polish it or turn it into something of a form you prefer.

Haha!! You are so right and I don't know why I'm struggling with that. I keep thinking that I just need to pin my ass to a chair and start writing. Not worry about what's hitting the page, so long as i get the words out. Then I will have something to work with and polish and shine. I know this ... and yet ...

Ok! This weekend. For reals. I'm hitting Open Office with a vengeance. No excuses.
