There's not a lot of new stuff on this list because I've pretty much thrown in the towel on the cinema. I don't like going to the theater because I spend a lot of money for mediocre to bad movies and that is never fun. It's just annoying and irritating and because I've spent money I feel compelled to stay and watch the whole fiasco. Hours of my life gone. That sucks. I mean, I sit there growing grey hairs and wrinkles. Really sucks. But, at least two movies this year will be scot free. My BFF gave me movie passes for Christmas. Cha-Ching!!

1. Step Brothers
2. Tropic Thunder
3. Lost in Austen (mini-series) - I wouldn't usually dive into this, but I LOVED it for all of its silliness. Total wish fulfilling fluff.
4. Bad Girls
5. Rise: Blood Hunter
6. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
7. Suburban Girl
8. Ghost Town
9. Let the Right One In
10. Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist
11. The Visitor
12. Enchanted
13. Made of Honor - I really hated this movie.
14. Step Up 2: The Streets - The truth? I LOVE dance movies. Love them. Step Up 2 was no different. I would watch that movie over and over again if for no other reason than that dance sequence at the end ... at The Streets ... in the rain. Word!
15. This Christmas
16. Hack
17. Twilight - I laughed my ass off.
18. Madagascar
19. Melinda and Melinda
20. Lovely and Amazing
21. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls - They had me all the way until the ending. Seriously, Steven Spielberg? Seriously?
22. Forbidden Kingdom
23. The Wrestler
24. The Hangover - It was girl's night and I was out voted
25. The Cake Eaters
26. City of Ember
27. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - OMG! I hated this movie. WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?
28. Last Chance Harvey
29. Pretty in Pink
30. Taken - Hot ass Liam Neeson unaplogetically kicking ass and blowing shit up. How can it get any better?
31. Eagle Eye - Oh, I don't know. Maybe if it's young, hot-ass Shia LeBeouf unapologetically kicking ass and blowing shit up ... only ... in this movie, not quite so much.
32. Killshot - The Wrestler made me do it. I wish that I hadn't.
33. Seven Pounds - I really didn't like this movie. Idiotic and self-indulgent, at best. Although, I really liked Rosario Dawson. And the Great Dane.
34. Coraline
35. Wolverine: Origins - Hugh Jackman/Liev Schrieber smackdown for the win! The rest was whatever.
36. The Golden Compass
37. Doomsday
38. Journey to the Center of the Eart
39. In the Land of Women - Disregarding the overly botoxed lips, In the Land of Women reminded me of all the reasons that I love Meg Ryan.
40. Baby Mama
41. Sinbad: The Legend of the Seven Seas
42. Kinsey
43. A Father's Choice
44. The Lover
45. Terminator: Salvation - Another WTF movie. As much as I adore Christian Bale, Sam Worthington was the only bright spot in this movie.
46. The Secret Life of Bees
47. Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones - Yes, I'm just NOW seeing Episode II. But let's be real, there was nothing about Phantom Menace that encouraged me to follow George Lucas on his little ride down retcon alley. That said, I actually kinda enjoyed this one. Maybe I'll get around to seeing Episode III before the next decade is over.
48. Notes On a Scandal
48. Quarantine
49. WALL-E
50. Meet the Robinsons
51. The Fifth Commandment - So bad it's good!!!! OMG, I loved this movie.
52. Push
53. Confessions of a Shopaholic
54. The Fourth Kind
55. Smokin' Aces
56. Alice (SyFy Channel) - I pretty much despise SciFi since they canceled Farscape. Alot of nonsense B and C movies seems to be the bulk of their programming. But every now and then they do something that I really like. Tin Man was one, Alice is number two. I loved the whole thing and watched it three times just so that I could get to Alice and Hatter in the last fifteen minutes. *swoon*
57. Unaccompanied Minors
58. The Proposal
59. Bridge to Terabithia

I would probably say that The Wrestler was the best movie I saw this year, followed up very closely by Meet the Robinsons. My favorite movie of the year was probably Confessions of a Shopaholic which is the cutest thing ever without being twee.

My top ten (in no particular order) would go something like:
The Wrestler
Meet the Robinsons
Let the Right One In
Last Chance Harvey
Confessions of a Shopaholic
Step Up 2: The Streets
The Visitor
Notes on a Scandal
Alice
Bridge to Terabithia

With a very honorable mention for In the Land of Women

Then there were the kdramas. I fell in LOVE ya'll. Who KNEW!!!!! As American TV failed me left and right, kdramas swooped in and have totally taken over. I'm including kdramas with the movies instead as part of a tv category because they're the equivalent to American mini-series, only expanded.

Temptation of Wife
OMG. The drama and the angst. I got hooked on the soapiest of soaps. My very first one, I don't even know how I very randomly tuned in. There was a lot of shouting and crying and subtitles, and next thing you know ... c'est la vie.

The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince
Affectionately known as Coffee Prince. This one was referred by a friend who discovered that I was watching a kdrama. OMG! Nothing will ever beat Coffee Prince. It is the best thing since freaking sliced bread. Since Buffy and Angel. Since Farscape. I LOVED it. I heart it so hard that I can't even stand it. Plus, new OTP - Go Eun Chan/Choi Han Kyul, and my serious hard on for Gong Yoo, the actor who played the first male lead, Choi Han Kyul. No, joke. If you're not sure if kdramas are the thing for you, but you want to give it a try, go for Coffee Prince.

Then there was One Fine Day. I picked that one as the Coffee Prince follow-up in order to appease my sudden yearning for Gong Yoo, but it didn't quite hook me. I only made it episode 4, although I really do plan to finish it. Temptation of an Angel is currently playing on Channel 18 LA and it's the companion to Temptation of Wife. I'm not quite as invested. There's something that I just don't buy, although the male lead is way with the cuteness.

Iris and Special Investigative Team followed, but I came in mid-way and didn't follow-through. I need to go back and catch myself up.

Finally, I am currently on episode 14 out of 16 on the drama You're Beautiful. I LOVE it. It's kinda like Coffee Prince uber-lite, but it's got a lot of charm and chemistry. And a lot of issues. I'm getting to the point of being ready for it to be over because the lead female character is THICK! Like Brick thick. It was kinda cute and now it's just annoying, plus I much prefer the 2nd male lead, who very obviously is NOT going to get the girl and I'm kinda bummed by that. But I love all of the peripheral characters and that makes this show worth sticking around for, even if we all know where it's going.

So ... that's it. My movie year in review.
