seraphcelene: (it mocks me)
Hiya!!

Very long time no see!

Writing, finally, like gangbusters. I'm other wise crazy busy with life and work. Gah! The work!Anyway, I was thinking about my little fear fest regarding ye olde writing project some months ago and I'm very happy to say that I just took the plunge and got organized, and now I'm 23,000 words in. It's a skeleton draft and there's going to be a lot of editing ahead, but I'm optimistic about what it will turn into. The happy part is that I'm writing and I can see what it's going to be and where it's going, more or less, except when the characters get in the way and try to change things. Sometimes I let them and sometimes I don't.

But yay!! My goal is have 50K words done by July and then another 40K by August for a total of about 90K. I'm using Scrivener, which I'm loving. Makes it really easy to manipulate the parts of the manuscript, which as it got bigger, got more unwieldy. Scrivener also allows me to put in all kind of notes and tags and, I really like it! I'm still using the trial, but I'll be purchasing it once the 30 days is up. 30 days that only count when you actually open the software, so that's cool because you really get to asses the software for a full 30 days of use and not just chronological time.
