For my birthday, way back last month, I made out like quite the bandit. I wasn't expecting it. I had a dinner party, very graciously hosted by my BFF's parents. Her dad who is an amazing cook, served us Jerked Chicken, Rice and Peas, Fried Plantains, Snapper, Salmon, and Salad. We had the yummiest cupcakes ever, for dessert. Then there were gifts. My friends know me well. I only wanted everyone to get together for dinner and drinks, and a good time, but, well ... All together I received: adorable coffee and tea mugs, a full on make-up palette (YAY)!, wine, an Amazon gift card, and a Kindle Touch. You guys, my BFF got me a Kindle Touch. I don't even ...

I really love it. It holds 3000 books. 3000, you guys! I will never want for literature again. So, now, I need to name it. It's sleek and sexy and gray. But I don't know what to name her. And she does feel like a She. What do you guys think? Help me name my Kindle.

A drop-dead gorgeous heroine, sex, fairies, a hunky honey to do all that sex with, and an awesome Goth-girl sidekick. What more could a new SyFy show possibly need? Much more than that weaksauce description my indicate, actually. I've been watching the Canadian show, Lost Girl, that premiered on SyFy back in January. The premise is interesting, even if some of the individual elements are rather over used. Although I am thrilled with some of the dynamics of the show, there's still work to be done.

Learn to enjoy your shit already, you can frickin' control people by touch, and not in a creepy hand job way. That is awesome. - Series Spoilers Ahead )

Oh, show, you are sometimes a crazy sumbitch! Triggerfinger ratchets up some pretty intense moments as our crew starts to implode following the barnassacre and the big Sophie reveal. I still love how cinematic this show can be. I'm also happy to see Stuff Happening. As much as I was devastated by the loss of little Sophie, the episodes drawing up to the end of Pretty Much Dead Already, were long and tiresome.

Spoilers beneath the cut.

We all know that this is not going to end well. )
