Well, it turned into Yay Me Weekend, a little bit. Dude, I ate until I popped. Me and the kids celebrated my survival of another full year by heading out to Lucille's for some damn good eats on Friday for dinner! It was totally made of win, ya'll. The plate was bigger than my head, although smaller than Susie's boobs. (I guess we can't have everything.)

The folks over at The Doublemeat Palace where I work bought me Italian for lunch and the sweetest little Lemoncello cake ever in the history of the world. Yum-mAY! Then there was ice cream and a little drinkie poo! Clare let me tag along for a day at the races on Saturday where I indulged in crabcakes and Raspberry Mojitos all on the Man's Dime cause that's how we roll, yo!!

As if that wasn't fabulous enough, I got old man pullage at the end of the day. We tried to scoot out and I got a really sophisticated "what's your sign" line from this serious oldhead loitering at the exit. Unfortunately, he didn't know as much about the zodiac as he thought he did cause I had to correct him twice. He called me a Capricorn, I'm an Aquarian and he said that I was a Snake, I am a Dragon. Word of warning, kids, sew your game up tight. If you're playing the astrology gig, be sure to remember the details. They kind of count, y'know?!

Anywho. It was tons of fun despite the tornado warnings and apocalyptic floods (okay, okay, I may be exaggerating just a hair, but there really was a warning on like Thursday night). I am officially thirty-one and we are getting along rather well. Much better so far than me and that bitch, thirty. She was just so difficult, that girl.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Oh, and I made out like a total bandit! Cletus gave me God of War II, [livejournal.com profile] tkp sent a very funny birthday pickle, Yo!Mello sent heartbreakers omg! and I received combined total of $100.00 in gift cards to the bookstore. WOO HOO!!!!!!! I've already got my first book picked out: Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time and The Universe in A Nutshell. They're selling it as a double at Barnes and Nobles for $15.00. I have $75.00 more to go. OMG, this is going to be SO MUCH FUN!!

See you guys around. If the world ends, you can find me in the bookstore!

I'm so glad it sounds like you had such a good time! I meant to send you an actual gift, but I guess that'll be forthcoming.

I love book gift certificates. And I <3 you!
