Well, that didn't take long.

Run is what she screams with her face pressed close to his and her hands wrapped in the collar of his shirt, pushing him away and pulling him close all at once.
"Mom," is what comes out of his mouth -- a plea and a question: Is this the end of the world?
“Run,” she says, her strong hands propelling him forward and away. Always away.
John says I love you with his eyes and his hands over hers. It's their default position, his fingers curling over hers trying to hold on while she is letting go.
"Run," she says. "Run."
