Dancing with the Stars and America's continued inability to cast an objective vote

Well, that was my last episode of Dancing with the Stars for this season. Cause that? That was total and complete bullshit, and the moment that America starts voting like twits I am out.

Seriously? I mean, c'mon, seriously!! I love Jane Seymour, I think Marie Osmond is a consummate performer, Cameron whathisname is a cutie, sure, but better dancers than Sabrina Cheetah Girl? Not. A. Chance. This is why I seldom watch shows where America gets to vote. They inevitably vote stupid and I am once again reminded that its all a popularity contest and hang talent. Not that I should be surprised ... I mean, look at the popularity of Britney Spears. Keanu Reeves still gets acting jobs. Ashley Tisdale is releasing a pop album. Talent just doesn't seem to be a factor these days. Hell, I couldn't believe that Emmet Smith beat out Mario Lopez. Emmet was good, but Mario was better.

Whatever Dancing with the Stars ... Whatever. I guess I'll check you next season.

At least until you fuck it up again.

That was really shocking, I agree. Huh. I mean HUH?!

I really really thought Jane was going to be the one voted off tonight - because her last dance wasn't so great (the jive just isn't suited to her) ... I thought Marie was the one who *should* have been gone (I mean if we're going by how well people are dancing) ... I expected Marie would stick around because of her huge fan base, and that Jane would go.

BUT SABRINA. JEEZUS.

I wonder if people didn't vote for her because (as I saw pointed out somewhere) she *does* have lots of dance experience already ... or if people just assumed she didn't need votes?

(Disclaimer: I don't vote in this. Because dial-up crashes every time I try to access that site at home, I mean fugeddaboudit, it can't happen.)

I really thought Sabrina would be the winner this season. It's just crazy.

I REALLY, REALLY didn't see that coming. I was expecting it to come down to Mel B., Helio and Sabrina. I thought that either of them could grab the win and I'd have been okay with that. I know that Jane and Marie are having trouble keeping up, but I think Cameron really was the worst of all the remaining dancers. I never expected Jane Seymour to havce a fanbase big enough to drag her out of the bottom two. I mean, I've loved her for forever, but she's not the same kind of performer as Marie Osmond who still touring and doing shows and the like.

I thought about continuing to watch for Mel B and Helio, but I'm too pissed. I still can't believe that Sabrina got the boot. WTF?!
