Ok, so I've opened a GreatestJournal. You can find it here. I'm having trouble opening an Insane Journal. I'm getting an error that I'm entering the incorrect test answer or whatever. I've tried a zillion times and finally emailed support, so hopefully the problem will be corrected and I'll be able to open that as well. Provided I can get the IJ up, I'll be using the same username, seraphcelene. I've also used seraphcelene for the GJ account. So, you guys can always be sure to find me.

Question: Is JournalFen really a viable option? As much as I love the idea of 18 and older only, they've got a lock on the number of new journals that can be created, not unlike Livejournal in the early days. germaine_pet has posted a link to a tutorial on how to crosspost on different journals all at once, which is lovely and will save SO much time and effort.

I am dubious about JF. I bought an account, but don't use it. Their servers just aren't stable enough to handle a fandom exodus (unless perhaps *everyone* who went there paid for it).

I like IJ. Rahirah (http://rahirah.livejournal.com/275895.html) had problems proving she was "real person" in order to get an account ... it has something to do with firewalls or pop-up blockers or security settings? Hm.

I understand one needs the Semagic client in order to post in multiple journals at once, so I've been looking into it and I don't understand the Semagic download page AT ALL. I'm afraid to click anything. Wah.

GreatestJournal that's what I mean. :) I'm still getting used to this whole run for the border thing. It's odd, very ,very odd but I totally see the point. LJ has gotten really aggressive, but remains vague about the terms of HOW they are selecting what gets deleted. Plus, I don't think it's fair to delete an entire journal without warning over one post. There are a lot of questions being asked that LJ aren't addressing and that I don't think they will address. The idea of we'll know it when we see it is very worrying. I don't have any fears of my journal being deleted, but you never know.

I archived everything last night with LJ Archive, so at least that much is safe. Next steps is to go through my memories. I opened up a delicious accout to transfer the memories over there. Hopefully that will cover my ass. The only other thing is to go ahead and update my fic site so that my most recent fic is somewhere other than LJ. That requires coding, however, but I'll get to it. *sigh*

Hey, thanks for the note about Rahirah's problems. I ended up turning off my virus check and pop-up blocker for the two minutes it took to register me human. It worked and I have an insane journal under seraphcelene. So, across the board it's the same: LJ, GJ, IJ.
