1. I am very tired. I am very irritated. My tolerance for mediocre fic is in the toilet. Rec me something Brilliant to take home for the weekend. Brilliant with a capital B.

2. I am less horrified by the idea of marrying a stranger than I am by the fact that in Kyrgyzstan they KIDNAP you first and then force you to marry a stranger.

3. There are 45 days until Christmas. How the fuck did that happen?

4. Did I mention that I am tired? How about irritated? Cranky, I'm sure that I didn't mention that I am cranky.

BRILLIANT:

germaine_pet's Angels and Insects (http://www.octavesoftheheart.com/nightneverending/angels.htm), if you haven't already read it. But it does contain incest so please don't if you have a problem with that.

BUT the sequel, Prometheus Unbound (http://germaine-pet.livejournal.com/48467.html), which she just posted, is brilliant also and does not contain incest. It can be read on its own if you don't want to read A&I. I recommend this story for its incredibly what-AtS-wished-it-could've-thought-of-for-S6-or-S7 plot, and for Lynne's uncanny ability to handle that plot, snappy dialogue, character insight, and poetry in a fast paced style. Lynne is the god of my fic world.

Whoa!! Definitly good stuff and THANK YOU for the recs! I have to go and email feedback because, dude. Kind of blown away. And I know this was A/S/C, but I was SO in love with Illyria that I couldn't stand it! In Love!!

It was Illyria in both that really gripped me too. Lynne did some damn fine things with her that I wish I coulda seen on AtS.
