Five Thoughts I Am Thinking Right Now Today

1. No more Tucker Carlson. YAY! for he REALLY REALLY cannot dance.

2. My eyeball is scratched and my glasses still have not arrived. The choices are
minor pain or blindness.
Hmmm …. Can we get a third option?

3. Danse Macabre continues Laurell K. Hamilton decline as a storyteller.
I'm not surprised, but still disappointed. It started off so well.

4. Love songs suck. All of them.

5. WTF! Survivor?! Social experiment my ass!

I can't read the Anita Blake stuff anymore. Well, at least I can't pay for it. If I got my hands on a free copy of DM I'd probably skim, but everyone (even diehard types) seems to be shaking their heads sadly and backing away slowly.

A friend sent me 2 books in a series about a redheaded witch vampire hunter and we shall see ... they're upstairs and I'm lazy, so no further details yet. I'm reading Poppy Z. Brite's "Lost Souls" at the moment (new to me, and I know she doesn't write this type of stuff anymore, but I'm enjoying it).

Every time I hear a love song, I feel the uncontrollable urge to change the station. Yes, I am frustrated, bitter and angry right now.

Yea, it's gotten incredibly bad! I got Danse from the library. I read it piecemeal. Just jumped around until I got the impression that I had finished it. I couldn't stomach the idea of sitting down and actually reading it from cover to cover. It's just a glorified Mary Sue and I don't do Mary Sue's.

The Merry Gentry series is starting to move in that direction and that REALLY bugs me because that's where I started reading LKH.

I keep meaning to try Poppy Z. Brite and I really want to read all of Caitlin Kiernan's books. I read A Murder of Angels which was fabulous and tried to read Low Red Moon but I got SO jealous of her gorgeous style that I had to put it down. How sad is that!
