I think because I was expecting NOT to like it, that I was pretty relaxed about seeing it and therefore my expectations weren't at all dashed. It wasn't a very significant movie. It didn't feel very emotional or dramatic or witty or any of the things I associate with Jane Austen. It was a pleasant little romance. Very little substance but warm and fuzzy all the same. Lite fluffy, frou frou kind of a thing.
S&S is the real deal. Emma was even great, but this .... I don't know. I'd recommend it but only as something to pass the time if you're in the mood for a non-brainer kind of a moment.
