With caveats because Aimee Teagarden's Emery Whitehall isn't as awkwardly charming as Shiri Applby's Liz Parker. Neither is Malese Jow's Julia anywhere near as quirky-kickass as Majandra Delfino's Maria. So ... you know, caveats. But you can see where the series is going and it is all Roswell, all the time from this angle. It would be nice if maybe it were a little more Alien Nation, heck, even more like Defiance. I like when aliens are, you know, alien. But, I get that's not what the CW is expecting will attract that crucial tween demographic who are only interested in the young, hot, and pretty strutting across the TV screen. See the re-incarnation of Beauty and the Beast and how un-beastly Vincent is for the majority of the show. (Interestingly enough, the male lead is actually 30.) Ha Ha! They gave him a terrible hair cut.
So, yeah, lots and lots of caveats. Right now, it's popcorn enough that I may have a few more handfuls. Then I'll probably forget to keep watching or intentionally switch it off out of disgust. Only time, I suppose, will tell.
