I had a moment of "but that's the sale price I wait for" before I remembered exchange rates. WTAF indeed!

I was stunned. I've gotten accustomed to $2.00 eggs, which is high, but damn.

Apparently, there's bird flu going around, plus electricity increases (up 15% and the egg industry is highly automated ... so), plus those good ole shipping costs. It's going to be a bitch to bake this Xmas, but otherwise I can avoid eggs. They're usually last minute breakfast foods anyway.
