Unlike the LotR trilogy, which I loved totally and completely and for a myriad of reasons, I realize that I keep re-watching The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug for two (or four depending on how you look at it) very specific reasons: Tauriel and Kili, and Bilbo and Smaug. Two pairs together made of win, even if one of those pairs is completely non-canonical.
