I don't really know why I enjoyed this book. From copy to plot, the entire thing was sorely in need of an editor. The execution was rushed and amatuerish. McCarver isn't the greatest writer ever, but I do think that she is a better writer than what she produces in A Holiday to Remember. The plot was underdeveloped, and McCarver fell back on exposition to make up for the lack of actual storyline. All that said, the bones of the story were interesting, the sex was hot, if confused, and I liked the characters (angsty and tormented though they were). I wouldn't recommend this book, but it was an entertaining read.
