Oh, and one more thing ...
May. 10th, 2009 07:31 pmLet me say, briefly, that I loved Holly Black's Tithe and Ironside way more than I ever thought possible. Really, really wasn't expecting that. I'm pretty much in love, actually, in a way that I seldom get to be with books.
I'm totally on a YA kick and although I'm skipping all of the vampire books for fear that I will be reading Twilight-esque drivel, I'm totally enjoying what I am reading. Although, I just traded in for Love in the Time of Cholera since I'm four books ahead of my reading schedule for the fifty book challenge.
I'm also quite enjoying Cassandra Clare's series ... I'm waiting for City of Ashes to arrive through Interlibrary Loan. Clary reads a lot like a pseudo-Buffy but the plot twists (that I totally saw coming) were enjoyable and entertaining enough that I brushed if off. Also? Seeing the word asshat printed in a book from the library totally made my day.
On that note ... Libba Bray's A Great and Terrible Beauty was also very entertaining.
