Title: The Tyger and the Lamb
Author: seraphcelene
Fandom: Angel the Series
Rating: G
A/N: Not Fade Away end-battle; for the Open on Sunday "Slate" challenge.

Slayers, faceless and shadowed, stand like a wall between the world and the end. Fine slate masses that fade into the rain, another rises as one falls. Angel can't count them, they die so quickly.

A girl with a burgundy and blue mohawk makes him think of Illyria and then Fred as he catches her easy-light body. Angel cringes at the innocence carved into her dead eyes.

The sea splits and ...

Buffy, repeatedly broken along cleavage and grain. Honed and purified until candy colored lips can't hide the predator underneath. He sees her coming, death and hell at her heels.

This is awesome! This might be a typo: Fine slate mases

Love the first line especially. Love your use of the word "purified", and the phrase "innocence carved", and that final vision at the end.

What a glorious way to break through a block!

Chips are better than nothing!

Let's have a drabble off. Gimme a specific challenge to drabble about; I'll drabble; then I'll challenge you, and you go!

Want to? I had today off and am all lazy and writerly!

Oh em gee yay! I wrote a drabble and I really liked it!

here (http://tkp.livejournal.com/81133.html)

It's partly about Doctor Who which I don't think you're into, but it was so fun! *dances*

We could keep this up over time, if you wanna. Like if you don't want to do any tonight, my challenge could still stand, and then whenever you want to you could fulfill it. And then you could challenge me back and we could just keep it goin' on our own respective times whenever we feel like it. Of course it sounds good in theory but I'll probably slack off. But it'd be fun to try! Maybe it would make you more excited about online stuff. Not that you need to be! I'm sure you have enough goin' on in rl. But I miss you!

Okay, your challenge, should you choose to accept, is:

when he was twenty-three

You have to use that line in your text somewhere. It can be in any fandom and refer to anything.
