What?!

I know, right? Completely random. Fox Family's mini-marathon last weekend is totally to blame. I watched everything except Order of the Phoenix, like, twice. In a row. In retrospect that may not have been such a good idea.

Basically, what I seem to have gotten out of it all, besides this fic and a deep desire to re-read Silvia Kundera's Sixteen in Bulgaria (and any other Herminone/Viktor fic that I can get my hands on) is the realization that they are young and that Rowling paired them off early and kinda left them that way. The thing is, they're young and young love doesn't usually last forever and ever.

A/N: Post-Deathly Hollows. I'd say movie canon because I haven't re-read the books since Deathly Hollows was released. That's a project for next year. [livejournal.com profile] tkp's Green Incantations helped me to nuance Ginny and for that, I am grateful. It's Christmas and everyone's busy, so this is unbeta'd.
Feedback: Yes, please.
Disclaimer: It all belongs to J.K. Rowling and sundry people who are not me. This is just for fun and not profit.
Summary: In retrospect and examined from the distance of many years, it was all overwrought and melodramatic, but you were only seventeen and your whole life had become desperately tragic.
