Please tell me that I am not the only one who was compelled to watch the train wreck that was Celebrity Duets.
OMG! It was boring AND craptastic. Two hours and I couldn't bear to miss a second of it. Who came up with that panel of judges for god's sake?! I mean, c'mon! Marie Osmond, David Foster and Little "my toe shot up in my boot" Richard? Is he country or is he country? Dude, with the non sequiters! (My grandmothers are from Texas by way of Georgia and Louisiana and that's the same stuff they say.)
Somebody tell me he's a guest judge. I missed the first ten minutes, but please tell me he's a guest judge because WTF?!?!?!?!?
Oh, for why? For Why??? Don't they know bad TV makes the Baby Jesus cry? I'm sure he was wailing right along with Chris Jericho!

Cheech Marin surprised me. That little Carly Patterson girl did Really well with the second song. If Lea Thompson makes it through the next round, I will be surprised. Lucy Lawless and Smokey Robinson were hella sexy together and she did really well with the harmonizing.
Obviously they realized my love for the '80's because HAL SPARKS!!! YAY!!! I am in LOVE with Hal Sparks. He is such a rockstar AND he got to sing with Smokey Robinson and Gladys Knight because he is a PIMP, yo!!
Dude, can you believe the talent? Randy Travis, Peter Frampton, Gladys Knight, Smokey Robinson, Micheal Bolton (hmmm, what?), Leann Womack, James Ingram, Michelle Williams. Granted, we're talking about people without careers, but still!! OMG there are really singers on here AND they promise more. Hal Sparks sings with Patti LaBelle!! How awesome would that be … or Macy Gray or Chaka Khan. OMG I am so floored!!
Unfortunately the fact that there were ten minutes of commercial for every ten minutes of broadcast killed it for me. Sorry, Celebrity Duets but I will not be returning. Not even to see Jai Rodriguez sweep and take home the prize because, dude, it's already a little obvious. Not even for the wacky commentary of Little Richard will I return to endure this particular brand of celebreality! I just hope that Dancing With the Stars fulfills it's promise of being the best TV ever. Jerry Springer dances! I mean for real!! For real ….
