I don't think a Terminator thinks like that. Pretty much everything is worth eliminating unless it has some value to you. I thought maybe Ellison would have some connection to SkyNet. I also hoped it could be something like...the Terminator is developing some sort of personality beyond his programming, too--like Cameron seems to be doing--and he didn't kill Ellison because he recognized Ellison as someone who will dig and dig and dig until he finds answers. So it's a sort of challenge. He WANTS Ellison to come after him. I hope it's something like that.
