Movie: Twilight: New Moon (2009)
The first Twilight movie at least had the lulz. It was bad, but just ridiculous enough to be fun. I mean Charlie was all hilarity all the time. Unfortunately, New Moon did not live up to its predecessor. New Moon was bad AND boring. It was all angsty mumbling and emo voiceovers. Until Michael Sheen showed up, that is. The five minutes he spent on screen were pretty much the best part of the movie. I wish that I could say his five minutes were worth the whole movie, but that would be all kinds of lying. Dakota Fanning was kinda awesome, too. So, like, six minutes of awesome.
It is sad, but true, watching Twilight makes me forget that I actually like Kristen Stewart. Granted, she doesn't have a lot of range, but she's a good actress. Adventureland, The Cake Eaters, In the Land of Women, Panic Room are all great examples of her being a good actress. Too bad Twilight sucks so hard that I forget. Rob Pattinson might be a good actor, too. I don't know. I liked him in Remember Me, despite the rest of the movie. But there's not much to go on. More evidence is required.
So, yeah ... Twilight: New Moon ... not so much.

It's a shame the series couldn't continue to bring lolz. I would say that the first book is funniest too, but then there's the fourth one. Apparently a vamp baby WON'T be eating its way out of the womb in the forth movie. Really, that was going to be the main selling point for me.
KP sort of acts like she's on drugs, but I've never seen her anything else. And her insurmountable dullness is really perfect for the part. Meanwhile, RP doesn't interest me except off screen, where he appears to be crazy. CRAZY. Poor kids.

I really wish the movie could have been more fun. If only it didn't take itself so very seriously. I think that the first movie they were all so stunned by the badness and the frenzy and it was just a little movie that they played it a little more fast and loose. This movie was all earnest and "I've gotta gain weight for the part" thisisthesequel OMG! And it lost all of its wacky charm. I laughed at the first movie, this one was dead boring.
I am stunned. STUNNED that they are not editing out the Rneesmeemthedoaidhheh cannibalizing Bella scene. That is the bestest ever. Plus, wtf with the running in the woods, Bella is a vampire scene. How are they EVER going to get her there? It just won't be the same any other way.
I think that Kristen Stewart is mortified by her part in the films, and has no clue what to do with the part so she goes dead. She doesn't have the ... charm or magnetism of RP and so, yeah, dead on screen. I mean dish water. Srsly. RP has this whole Edward is a self-loathing, suicidal manic depressive back story that he created for Edward, and I'm thinking that it may give him something to draw from. But that's really just me being facetious. Except he really did make Edward into a self-loathing, suicidal, manic depressive in his head. *hearts*
And that would be how we get to Crave. I'm vaguely kinda sketching out this Bella thing in my head. It's really kinda scary, especially considering how much I loathe the series.

Yeah, I agree about the added gravitas. One highlight of Eclipse for me though is I saw it in the science center theater, and then it did a sky sweep of Seattle and you could see the theater I was in. While I was in the theater. That was cool.
lol poor KS. But yeah, RP did say that about Edward. Which is way more of an explanation the Meyer gives us, and RP's explanation makes more sense. But I don't really see it that much through his acting.
I'm impressed you're able to write Twilight, considering. But hey, good fic from you is good fic :o)
