You'd think I'd have learned better by now. I am, after all, nearing 30.

It's the timing belt. We are currently looking at $700.00 to repair it. That leaves me with $200.00 to pay the remainder of my bills. That means that I am well and try fucked.

In a complete reversal of my more youthful attitude, I have totally learned to regret. Sucks. I keep thinking that I'll go back to school and finish the degrees I wanted, but I so can't afford it and I totally don't trust that things will work out and I'll be able to pay back all of the loans in the end.

What happened to my fervor? What happened to my ferocity and self-confidence?

I have become a spineless moron. I don't like that.

Unfortunately, I have learned that the timing belt is crucial. So buying a used one is no good because when it breaks it can bend valves which then makes the cost of the repairs sky rocket. The faster you're going I guess the more valves that are bent or something and I have felt few moments of panic like the sudden death of my car in the middle of traffic. *sigh*

I'll be glad when it's next week and I'm over being depressed and I can laugh and tell everyone about the time my car lost all steam as I was driving home and I nearly took out a girl on a bike but ultimately came to a safe stop at St Gregory's Episcopal Church. Thankyougod. :)

Thank you. I'm trying to get cheerful again. Although, I love your icon and that sounds like an excellent plan. The downside is that I gave up alcohol for the next month in a desperate atttempt to hone my abs before Mexico (yeah, right). I may have to break that pledge.
