It's genetic. My mom has a beautiful singing voice, but never got much training. She keeps it to singing in the church choir. I've been in school choirs since I about the age of six, and left the last one at about 25 or so. I went to college for theatre, and it would have been musical theatre if I could dance. ;P

I'm thinking about joining a little community choir this fall. And the fall theatre season is calling me, too.
